We stayed here with our two kids (2,5 and 3 months) for 2,5 weeks after immigrating from Holland to New-Zealand. It was a lovely place to start exploring Auckland from and also have a bit of a holiday. Barry and Moira where very friendly and told us a lot about New-Zealand and especially buying a car and a house. Barry gave Gert his first introduction into Kiwi lifestyle: he took him fishing. Quite hard work draging a net through the shallow water of the bay just after it got dark. And as with all first things: Gert was very lucky: the catch was 2 flounders and 7 mullet.
So we had a very nice time here. One of the best features was the view from the deck of the bay.
